BMI is the measure of your weight in relation to your height. It’s used to estimate if you’re overweight or underweight because it’s linked to the amount of fat in your body. A high BMI can mean that you’re overweight and at risk for obesity-related diseases. But keep in mind that BMI can be unreliable for certain people, notably heavily-muscled athletes and weight lifters.
